What we have done
This website was rebuilt in 2026 with accessibility treated as part of the job rather than an afterthought. That included:
- Semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate the structure of every page
- A “skip to main content” link as the first item on every page
- Visible keyboard focus outlines on every link, button and form field
- Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning
- Colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.2 AA for body text and buttons
- Content that is readable without JavaScript — nothing important is hidden behind a script
- Respect for the operating system’s “reduce motion” setting
- Form fields with real labels, not placeholder text pretending to be labels
Where we know we fall short
Some older images on this site were produced before we started writing detailed alternative text, and we are working through them. If you hit something that does not work with your assistive technology, we would genuinely like to know.
