Do I have to pay for monitoring?
No — modern systems self-monitor free: your phone gets the alerts and you decide what to do. Professional monitoring adds a staffed center that calls you and dispatch; it's month-to-month on the systems we install, and we'll tell you honestly whether your situation needs it.
I already have cameras and a doorbell — will an alarm work with them?
Usually, if they're in the same ecosystem — and that's exactly what we check before recommending anything. Staying in one family (Ring with Ring, for example) is what makes the alarm, cameras and locks act like one system.
What about my pets setting it off?
Placement and the right sensors solve it: pet-tolerant motion sensors mounted at the correct height and angle, and glass-break or contact sensors where motion would false. Tell us the pets on the phone call — it changes the design.
Renter-friendly options?
Yes — modern systems install with minimal wall damage and move out with you. We do them for tenants and, from the other side, standardized setups for Bakersfield property managers.
